Wolf Kahn is a German-American painter known for his vivid and colorful landscapes.
I have been inspired by his work since the first time I picked up a pastel. He used a lot of strong horizontal and vertical lines to create his beautiful landscapes. And of course, his vibrant use of color filled me with joy.
I forgot about his inspirational work till the other day when I saw a painting of his on facebook. Influenced by his work, I couldn't wait to start a painting.

I started with a simple wash of acrylic paint.

Moving with the Moon, 20" x 16", oil on paper
To create movement in my work, I used my fingers to move the paint around.
I really enjoyed the outcome. It gives me a feeling of falling leaves glistening in the moonlight. I hope you enjoy it too!
